Support Our Wisconsin Montessori School Vision
Dr. Maria Montessori was nominated three times for the Nobel Peace Prize,
And AMI Montessori
Holds two permanent seats in the United Nations.
Dr. Maria Montessori was a Visionary.
She saw that children thrive in a real learning environment where they are empowered to make their own choices, where they are entrusted as self-learners; where they are confident as problem-solvers, where they are discoverers - having been given the opportunity and freedom to explore, where they are thinkers – having learned how to use their hands and mind together, having learned how to fail, and how to correct themselves.
Now more than ever, in this time of force-fed information and short-term memorization, in this time of constant technology screens, hurry, back-to-back organized sports, and lack of spontaneous outdoor activities…
Children need the space to create themselves
as confident, joyful, life-long learners and leaders.
MorningStar Montessori Cedarburg does just that, and there is so much more to do. Help us make the dream come true for children and adults all around the globe.
MorningStar Montessori School Wisconsin wants to live Dr. Montessori’s vision of promoting peace through education, extending that opportunity from our youngest citizens to our senior citizens.
MorningStar Montessori Cedarburg envisions a year-round Farm School, The MorningStar Montessori Circles, in which active retirees work side-by-side with children.
The children of the school would comprise a mix of cultures, socio-economic backgrounds, religions, and races. Children would come from around the world and live with host families. In particular, children who are at-risk would thrive in such a positive, inclusive, community environment.
The Circles would encompass “Assistants to Infancy,” Primary, Elementary, and Adolescent Montessori environments, in conjunction with a Montessori Community for Dementia and Agieing. Retirement condos would be included for those retirees who would like to share with the children their particular expertise such as baking, gardening, sewing, knitting, painting, swimming, sports, music performing and recording, agriculture, mechanics, woodworking, computer technology, animal husbandry, canning, marketing and selling of goods produced, running a Bed and Breakfast for school visitors – in other words, running the business and all the aspects of the school together.
The Circles would “tie up the ends” by serving the community with both child and adult daycare and respite services.
MorningStar Montessori Circles would host and sponsor AMI Montessori training.
MorningStar Montessori Circles would also host an annual Chess Tournament to draw people from around the world to our community.
These are the dreams of those who know that this is not “so far out of reach.” These are the dreams of those who know that this will benefit people of all ages from all walks of life.
These are the dreams of those who know that an international and intergenerational inclusive school community, based upon mutual respect, will be a catalyst to bring peace to all corners of the world.
