MorningStar Montessori Cedarburg, Wisconsin Enrollment

By appointment, the parents or guardians, without the child, come to visit the school for a tour and then schedule an interview. During the interview process, the parents, the child, and the Administrative Director will come together to discuss the mutual needs, wants, requirements, and expectations of family and school. The child's current progress and development will also be discussed with the parents, and any questions they may have, regarding policies, schedules, fees, staff qualifications, discipline, etc., will be answered.

The following forms must be completed at the time of enrollment/waiting pool:

  1. Application for Admission
  2. Emergency and General Release Form

Fees to be paid upon enrollment:

  1. $100.00 non-refundable application fee
  2. $200.00 registration fee, per child
(Non-refundable, but applicable to the last month’s tuition)

Waiting Pool

The waiting pool is filling up for fall, especially for the Nido and Infant Community environments. It is important to apply as soon as possible. When you apply you must submit the application with the $100 application fee. The average wait time depends on the program and the age of the child. We can provide you with an estimated start date when you apply, but we cannot guarantee a date. Children are considered for any opening at MorningStar Montessori in which they may qualify by age and development.

Parents are notified by phone and email, when space becomes availble for their child. Parents are given 48 hours to notify us of their decision to either accept or decline the opening. The spot is accepted through a deposit. The deposit is 1/2 of one month's tuition, and is kept on file. A minimum of 30 days written notice is required for the deposit to be applied to the final month's bill. The written notice must be turned in the first of the month.

If parents decline the opening, the child drops to the bottom of the waiting list. The waiting date will then be changed to the date the opening was declined. If parents fail to contact us within the 48 hour period, MorningStar Montessori Academy assumes that the family is no longer interested in our program and the child is removed from the waiting list.

Enrollment obligates parents to payment of full year’s tuition.

Milwaukee Area Montessori Admission Requirements

The child should be between 15months and 7 years of age, or have previous Wisconsin Montessori experience. MorningStar Montessori strongly endorses a three year program, including the Kindergarten year, to provide maximum advantage of the Montessori philosophy and environment.

Children should be toilet trained if they are between 3 and 6 years of age, including wiping, and washing hands. Manageable behavior and obedience are expected. The child should be able to follow simple directions such as, “Put the puzzle on the shelf and come sit down.”

If no spaces are available in the school, the child may be placed on a waiting list after submitting a completed application form, having an interview with the administrator, and paying the $100.00 application fee. No fees are refundable. No guarantees are made for desired placement, which is dependent upon space available.

Children may be enrolled at any time during the school year.
